This is another live VJ set produced in Resolume. The video uses "Cicatriz E.S.P." by the Mars Volta and "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 2" by the Flaming Lips. The content is pretty broad, going from space animation at the start to abstract, colorful images. The video extends a shorter piece that I posted earlier. You can check out the performance here.

The Ghost of Tom Joad

This is a music video of Rage Against The Machine's "The Ghost of Tom Joad." The video was made with Resolume and Sony Vegas 6.0. The video takes the storyline of the song, which is based off of John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, and adds old footage of the dust bowl. It also follows the theme of Tom Joad looking over the poor farmers that were abused by the system. The video is mixed in the end to give more meaning to the suffering of the farmers of that time. This is a live VJ performance that was mixed in Resolume. The video uses the song Cicatriz E.S.P. and goes from space animation to extremely colorful abstract images. Watch it here. It is also a shorter but different version of 15 minute VJ set that I will post another blog about.

Broken Crashers

In this cinemashup, I chose to mix the trailer of Brokeback Mountain with clips from the Wedding Crashers. I worked with Sony Vegas 6.0 to produce it. It is a pretty funny piece that takes pieces of the Wedding Crashers and puts them in whole new perspective. Check it out here.
